Honey & Yogurt Bread Rolls
These honey & yogurt bread rolls are easy to make, are delightfully soft and are rich in flavour. This recipe is a keeper!

Makes: 9 rolls
Ingredients
  • 400 g (14 oz) white bread flour or AP flour
  • 125 g (4 oz) milk
  • 125 g (4 oz) yogurt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1½ tsp dried yeast
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sunflower seeds (optional)
Instructions
  1. Mix together the milk, yogurt, honey and dried yeast. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Put the flour, salt, milk/yogurt/honey/yeast, vegetable oil and sunflower seeds in a large bowl. Mix to a smooth dough.
  3. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a lightly-greased bowl, cover and put in a warm place until the dough has about doubled in size.
  5. Turn the dough out, knock back then divide the dough into 9 equal pieces.
  6. Form each piece of dough into a ball and place on a lightly greased baking tray.
  7. Place the tray in a large plastic bag then leave in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  8. Bake at 180°C/360°F fan oven, 200°C/400°F normal oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Place on a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Use a honey with a nice flavour for this bread.

You can glaze these with beaten egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired. Linseed or flax seed added to the dough also gives a nice additional flavour.
